Course Description

Networking Bootcamp In a world where everything is connected to each other forming a big network, it is necessary for a person to know the basics of networking to know how to administer a network. A successful network administration is the key to a successful business, and to attain this success, you ought to know the intricacies of networks. A network comprises all the hardware and software components involved in connecting computers across small and large distances. An internetwork is a collection of independent networks connected by different networking devices. A computer network refers to a set of different computers connected using networking devices like routers, switches, or hubs. Each computer in the network is configured using a protocol for communication. The computers can be connected by LAN, WAN, token ring, or FDDI. This course explains the basic principles of network related to architecture, operations and security.

Course Objectives

1.Fundamentals of OSI Model and TCP/IP Model.
2.Describe various types of networks and network topologies.
3.Explain cables, switches, routers and their functionalities in networks
4.Explain Network layer, Transport layer and Application layer protocols
5.Discuss routing protocols and fundamentals of VLANs
6.Explain how to manage and secure a network and Wireless Network.
